Marketplace puts sustainable products, services and venues in front of people organising events across the UK. It is free to list. You set your own price and are paid it in full; Legacy adds its fee on top for the shopper.

Free to list, and you keep your price.

There is no joining fee. You enter your price before VAT, and that is what you are paid for every order. Legacy's management fee is added to what the shopper sees, so you never price around it.

Buyers who are ready to order.

Organisers come to Marketplace to source for a real event, with a date and a headcount. They pay through Marketplace, so there are no invoices to chase.

Manage your own listings.

The supplier portal lets you add and edit listings, set prices, minimum orders and lead times, add photos and record your sustainability claims. Orders arrive there too.

Your claims, shown honestly.

Every sustainability claim says who made it. When we have seen the evidence for one of yours, it carries the "Checked by Legacy" mark, and your listing moves up from claimed to verified.

How we assess sustainability.

When Legacy started in 2016, nobody could say what made an event sustainable. So we wrote it down: nine themes that cover the decisions an organiser controls, each with the evidence a supplier can show.

We ask what your product, service or venue does under the themes that apply to it, and for the evidence: your sustainability policy, how you package and deliver, and a short paragraph in your own words. We review the themes as the industry changes.

How it works.

  1. Email us with your business and what you would like to list. It takes a couple of minutes.
  2. We look at your sustainability evidence against the themes and come back to you with any questions.
  3. Once you are approved, you get access to the supplier portal and add your listings.
  4. When an organiser orders, the order appears in your portal at your own price. We take the payment.
