Social Supermarket was founded by three university friends, Jamie, Alex and Matt. They were driven to create a platform that showcased the UK's most inspiring brands. With Social Supermarket, you are connected to social enterprises who have a positive impact in the world. Each brand that they work with are assessed to meet their high quality standards. Transparency is a key part of Social Supermarket with each product showing icons that indicate its social or environmental impact – for example "repurposed" indicating materials have been diverted from landfill or "charitable contributions" indicating a percentage is donated to a charity for every item sold.
